Benji is a high schooler from Dallas, Texas. He doesn't have a college degree or even a high school diploma yet, but he does have a genuine enthusiasm for neuroscience and a belief that research shouldn't stay locked in academic journals.
He started seeing connections between what he was learning about the brain in his classes and how he moved through his days. How he studied for a test, practiced a difficult passage on cello, prepared for a debate, or tried to focus when he didn't want to. Neuroscience kept showing up everywhere. And that made sense, because it really does explain everything. Our brains determine the entire human experience โ every habit we build or break, every memory we keep or lose, every decision we make, every moment of clarity, frustration, or joy. There is no part of your life that your brain isn't thoroughly involved in.
Each week, he takes one overarching concept from the research, verifies it, and translates it into information you can actually use. Not to optimize yourself into a productivity machine, but to find a little more time for the things that matter to you. For Benji, this looks like more time to play music, connect with people, learn something new, or just rest without guilt. Through this project, he aims to teach both himself and others how to live life to the fullest โ whatever that looks like to you.
He's by no means an expert. But he does his research, verifies his sources, and puts genuine effort into making the science more accessible to those who are curious. If that sounds like something you're interested in, welcome. New post every week.
